Volunteer Work in Peru with Llama Education
WHAT IS THE MEANING OF ‘VOLUNTARY WORK’?
Formally, voluntary work is the work that is carried
out as non-profit and contributes to a cause whose end is the welfare
and aid to the neighbor and/or the society in general. This contribution
is declared by means of intellectual pr physical work of a person called ‘voluntary’;
voluntary work implies time, not money.
One can be a volunteer of many forms and in the most
diverse fields of action:
- You can read him stories to children.
- You can teach how to read, to play guitar, to play soccer, to surf
on the web, etc.
- You can converse with the children
- To win work experience with elderly and adult children.
- You can accompany, take care or to play with the children.
- You can help to organize ‘get away’ and walks with the
children
- You can travel to different parts of the country and participate
in the various projects.
- You can utilize your professional experience to support
an organization
- You can help all the ones that need it……
We do not intend to list all the possibilities because
these are infinities, they depend on your creativity and as much you
want to do.
One can be a volunteer for many motives:
As you can notice people voluntarily work for a large and uncountable
number of motives.

LLAMA EDUCATION has two forms of volunteerism:
- The Project ‘Help us to help’ "The
children”: this project began in the 2007 with the adoption of
2 girls of 5 and 4 years of age, that lived in the house of the founder
and director of the Spanish School Maria Huaman Enriquez. She adopted
two girls to begin a great project to a short time goal called "The
children" .This shelter will educate, fed protect, and prepared
children for social and intellectual development. This institution
will also encourage children to develop educational workshops until
they finish a career and be worthy citizens with moral principles,
worthy customs and great development. At present, Maria is dedicated
to feed, educate dress and to fill other needs that these 2 girls have
however, the main aspect is that Maria loves them as their were her
own since they were sadly left as orphans. These girls have now a mother
and two sisters Diana and Sonja, and now Maria has 4 daughters. This
project is still in motion.
For more information about this project or if you would
like to help us, contact us: info@arequipaspanish.com
- The Volunteers can elect the project as much
as the field project and the preferred place to carry out their work,
for example: work with children, with adolescents or with women with
different issues. For example: family violence, children you suffer and
incapacitated adults, elderly etc. These institutions are located in
Arequipa or Chivay. The fields of interest that can be chosen include
social work, education, tourism, cultural work and simultaneous survival.
The majority of the LLAMA EDUCATION projects are located in Arequipa;
